Wheel of Names
Paste names or choices, then spin the wheel. Remove each pick to avoid repeating the same entry, or keep every option available.
Selected Spin to pick a name
Pick a name or option in one spin
Replace the sample names with your own list, keeping one entry on each line. Press either Spin button to choose from the current options. The selected entry appears as text below the wheel and is added to the draw history, so you do not have to identify the result from the pointer alone.
Only the first 100 lines are read, and blank lines within that range are ignored. Each remaining line is one equal-probability entry. If the same name appears twice, it occupies two entries and can be selected through either one.
Run a draw without repeating entries
Leave Remove after selection turned on when you need a different entry each round. After a result, that selected line leaves the next spin while the history keeps the order. Duplicate names on separate lines remain separate entries, so another matching name can still be selected. When every entry has been drawn, press Reset to return the full list and clear the current history.
Turn the setting off before a round when each spin should use every entry currently on the wheel, such as choosing dinner, selecting a warm-up activity, or making repeated low-stakes choices. Turning it off does not restore entries removed earlier; press Reset first when you need the original full list again. Editing the list also clears the old history so previous results are not presented as if they came from the new options.
Save a roster on this device
Save current list stores a named copy in this browser. You can load or delete it from the controls beside the list. The current options are also kept locally so a normal reload can restore your work. Lists do not sync to an account or another device, and clearing site data may erase them.
How the wheel selects a result
The browser selects one current option with Math.random() before the wheel moves. The spin and pointer animation then land on that already selected segment; the stopping animation does not choose again. A reduced-motion preference shortens the movement while preserving the selected result.
This method is appropriate for casual choices, classroom turns, party games, and small activities. It is not a seeded, cryptographically secure, independently logged, or tamper-evident drawing system. Use a process that meets the applicable rules and recordkeeping requirements for a regulated or high-stakes giveaway.
Privacy and measurement
Names, options, saved lists, and selected results stay in your browser and are not sent to ToolNeko for processing. Normal site analytics record bounded actions such as completing a spin or copying history, never the names, choices, winner, or saved-list contents.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use this Wheel of Names?
Enter one name or option per line, then press Spin. The wheel picks one current option and records it below the controls. You can paste up to 100 lines.
Can I remove a name after it is picked?
Yes. Keep Remove after selection turned on to remove the selected line after it is picked. Duplicate names on separate lines remain separate entries, so another matching name can still be picked. Turning the setting off keeps the remaining entries eligible on future spins; it does not restore entries already removed. Press Reset to restore every entry and clear the current history.
Does every line have the same chance?
Yes. Each nonblank line is one option with the same chance as every other current option. Repeating a name on more than one line gives that name more than one entry.
Can I save a list for later?
Yes. Saved lists and the current list stay in this browser on this device. They are not uploaded or synced, and clearing browser data can remove them.
Is this suitable for a formal giveaway?
It works for casual classroom picks, party games, team order, and small activities. A regulated or public giveaway may require published rules, eligibility checks, records, and an auditable drawing process that this page does not provide.
Does the animation decide the winner?
No. The browser selects the result first, then the wheel animates to that segment. The animation presents the selected result; it does not run a second draw when the wheel stops.
