Spin a number range without building a list

Use this wheel of numbers by entering a minimum, maximum, and positive step. The page builds every candidate from minimum + k × step without passing the maximum. The default 1–20 range has 20 candidates; 1–20 with step 3 has exactly 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19.

Add exclusions when a number should not be eligible. The preview, exact text list, count, and visual wheel all update together. A duplicate exclusion is counted once. A value outside the stepped range is reported as ignored, so it never becomes a hidden new entry.

Choose repeats or draw every number once

Repeats allowed samples from the full eligible set on every spin, so the same number can appear again. Remove result takes the current number out of this page's active pool. Draw each once removes every selected number automatically and stops with “All numbers drawn” when the pool is empty.

Reset pool restores the configured candidates without clearing the session history. Changing the range, step, exclusions, or mode marks the previous result as stale and retires its copy and remove controls. Each history row keeps the settings used for that draw, rather than presenting an older result as if it came from the new range.

How unbiased browser selection works

Your browser supplies an unsigned 32-bit value with crypto.getRandomValues(). When the candidate count does not divide the full 32-bit range evenly, the tool rejects the incomplete tail before applying modulo. That rejection sampling gives every eligible index the same number of accepted source values.

The winner is committed before the wheel moves. Animation only reveals that existing result and cannot select a different number at the end. A reduced-motion preference skips the rotation and presents the same preselected winner immediately. If secure randomness fails, the tool stops with no result and does not fall back to Math.random() or a remote random service.

Range limits and accessible results

Minimum and maximum may be from −1,000,000 to 1,000,000. The step may be from 1 to 1,000,000, and one wheel can contain at most 500 generated candidates before exclusions. The limit is checked before a list is allocated. Narrow the range or increase the step when a configuration would exceed it.

The wheel is visual feedback, not the only result. Candidate count, exact list, selected number, mode, notices, errors, and history are semantic text. Every action works by keyboard, and the current result remains selectable if clipboard permission is unavailable.

Privacy and session record

Range values, exclusions, selected numbers, and history stay in this page. They are not placed in the URL, stored for a later visit, or sent to ToolNeko for calculation. Aggregate analytics may record a bounded action, draw mode, success or error category, and a coarse candidate-count bucket; they never include exact inputs, exclusions, winners, history, clipboard text, or the downloaded file.

Download .txt creates a human-readable record in your browser. It documents this page session but contains no hidden seed, participant proof, identity, or certification. Treat it as a convenient note for a casual classroom, game, or decision—not independently verifiable randomness.

Frequently asked questions

Can a number repeat?

Yes in the default Repeats allowed mode. Choose Draw each once when every eligible number should leave the active pool after it is selected. Reset pool restores every configured eligible number without deleting the session history.

What does step mean?

Step is the interval between candidates. A range from 1 to 20 with step 3 creates 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, and 19. The tool never adds a partial step beyond the maximum.

Can I exclude numbers?

Yes. Enter integers separated by commas, spaces, or new lines. Duplicate exclusions count once, and values that are not in the stepped range are identified and ignored rather than added to the wheel.

Is this Number Wheel suitable for a lottery?

No. The page uses browser Web Crypto and unbiased index mapping for casual draws, but it does not prove who was eligible, preserve a public seed, prevent tampering, or provide an independently auditable record. Use a process that meets the applicable rules for regulated or high-stakes drawings.

Can I use the Number Wheel offline?

Yes after the page's static files have loaded. Range parsing, exclusions, random selection, animation, session history, copy, and text download run in your browser without a task API. The page does not save the range or results for a later visit.
