Default 15-block example
The default 15 × 15 filled chart contains exactly 177 occupied blocks, which is 2 full stacks of 64 plus 49 blocks. Switching to a one-block outline produces exactly 40 occupied blocks. Copy Guide includes the normalized settings, the exact count and stack remainder, the published convention, and the same one-based row runs shown on the page.
The integer cell-center rule
For diameter N, the generator creates exactly N rows and N columns. At zero-based cell position x, y, it calculates dx2 = 2x + 1 − N and dy2 = 2y + 1 − N. Filled mode occupies the cell when dx2² + dy2² ≤ N². These doubled center offsets keep every boundary comparison in integer arithmetic.
For an outline of thickness t, the inner diameter is N − 2t. If it is positive, the generator keeps outer-disk cells whose centers are strictly outside that inner threshold. If it is zero or negative, the outline is the filled disk. The resulting mask is checked for horizontal reflection, vertical reflection, and 180-degree rotational symmetry.
How to use the row guide
Rows and columns start at 1. A run such as “columns 5–11” means place seven contiguous blocks from left to right in that row. An outline row can contain two runs, such as “column 2, column 14.” The SVG is a visual summary; the ordered HTML list is its text equivalent and creates no focus target for each cell.
Input, scope, and privacy
Diameter accepts whole ASCII digits from 1 through 128. Outline thickness accepts 1 through half the diameter rounded down, with 1 allowed for diameter 1. Each raw field is limited to 80 characters before ASCII spaces, tabs, carriage returns, and line feeds are trimmed. Signs, decimal points, exponent notation, separators, Unicode digits, and other whitespace are rejected.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Minecraft circle generator choose blocks?
It tests the center of every cell in an N by N grid against one integer circle rule. A filled cell satisfies dx2² + dy2² ≤ N². This avoids floating-point edge ambiguity and gives the same chart every time.
What is the difference between Filled and Outline?
Filled keeps every cell center inside the outer disk. Outline also removes cells at or inside an inner threshold based on the chosen whole-block thickness. If that inner diameter is zero or negative, Outline equals Filled.
Why can this chart differ from another circle generator?
Block circles are raster approximations. Tools can use different edge, center, or symmetry conventions, so boundary blocks may differ. This page publishes its cell-center convention and applies it consistently to odd and even diameters.
What does the stack count mean?
The occupied-block total is divided into groups of 64. The quotient is the number of full stacks and the remainder is the number of loose blocks. This is arithmetic only and does not select a block type.
Is this an official Minecraft or Mojang tool?
No. This is an unofficial fan-made geometric planning tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang or Microsoft and makes no game-version claim.
