Flag Quiz

Guess 10 flags, learn what to look for, and retry the ones you miss.

Identify the country from its flag. Each round draws 10 different flags from a curated set of 50.

Questions run in this browser tab. No answers, flag names, or scores go into analytics.

Learn a flag before guessing another

Each 10-question round has no repeated country. Choose from four names, then read the correct answer and a short cue about the colors, symbols, or stripe direction. A correct choice still gives you the cue; a wrong choice stays visible until you choose Next flag. The optional Describe the flag control supplies a color-and-shape description before answering.

Practice only your missed flags

At the end, the score counts one answer per question. Retry missed flags starts a shorter round containing only countries you missed; its answer choices may include other countries as distractors. A fresh 10-question round draws a new selection. This practice list lives in the current tab and disappears on reload.

What the 50-flag pool covers

This is a curated learning sample of 50 United Nations member states across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. It is not a definitive list of countries, territories, national recognition, or current flag policy. The UN member list sets the country-scope reference; the flag artwork is a local copy of selected SVGs from flag-icons 7.3.2, distributed with its MIT license. Because flags and names may be revised, the artwork and cues are a fixed, pinned set rather than a live-updated list.

Local play and limited measurement

Questions, answers, and the missed-only retry are handled in your browser. No sign-in is needed. Reloading starts over. ToolNeko counts the start and finished rounds without sending the country shown, the name you selected, or your score in analytics.

Frequently asked questions

How does this flag quiz work?

Start a round to see 10 different flags chosen from a curated set of 50 countries. Choose one of four country names for each flag. After an answer, see the correct country and a visual recognition cue before moving to the next question.

Can I practice only the flags I missed?

Yes. Finish the round, then choose Retry missed flags. That practice round includes only the flags you answered incorrectly, with three choices added to each question. If you miss one again, you can retry the remaining misses.

Does this include every country or territory flag?

No. The pool is a clearly bounded learning sample of 50 United Nations member states, not a complete catalog of 193 UN members, observer states, territories, or every flag in use. Country names and graphics can change; the artwork is a pinned local set.

Can I use a keyboard or a flag description?

Yes. Tab to a country choice and press Enter or Space. Describe the flag reveals a text description of its visible colors and shapes without naming the country. After you answer, feedback names the country and gives a recognition cue.

Are my answers or score stored?

No. The quiz runs in this browser tab and starts fresh when the page reloads. Analytics records only fixed start, completion, and round-action event names. Individual flags, answer choices, and scores are not sent in those events.
