Spain has two time zones
Mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla use Central European Time: CET at UTC+1 in standard time and CEST at UTC+2 in summer. The Canary Islands use WET at UTC+0 and WEST at UTC+1, remaining one hour behind the mainland.

Why the U.S.–Spain difference changes
Mainland Spain is normally six hours ahead of New York and nine hours ahead of Los Angeles. Europe and the United States change clocks on different Sundays, so those differences shrink by one hour during short periods in March and autumn. Choose the date you need instead of relying on one fixed number.
Plan calls with mainland Spain
The planner uses the mainland Europe/Madrid zone. Choose a mainland Spain date and your time zone to convert the full 9:00 AM–6:00 PM sample window and find the intersection with 9:00 AM–6:00 PM in your selected zone. For a Canary Islands 9:00 AM–6:00 PM window, shift the converted mainland result one hour later in your selected zone.

The 9 AM–6 PM windows are planning defaults, not official hours for every organization. Calculations run in your browser with IANA time-zone data. The optional ToolNeko server check only estimates whether your device clock is noticeably offset; it is not an atomic-clock or NTP service.
