How to make Old English text
Enter English letters or numbers once, then compare Regular, Bold, and Decorated results. The gray Neko 123 preview is an example only; enter your own text before Copy becomes active.
Each result is created in your browser. Copy one result, paste it into the destination app, and check its font support and character limit before publishing.
- Type a name, tattoo word, display name, or short heading.
- Choose Regular, Bold, or Decorated to narrow the 10 results.
- Select Copy beside one result and wait for the Copied confirmation.
- Paste into the destination and keep important wording available in plain text.
Old English here means Unicode Fraktur
This page uses Unicode Mathematical Fraktur characters that resemble blackletter or Old English lettering. It does not install or download a TTF, OTF, tattoo font, or web font. The result remains text that can be copied into many profile, caption, message, and design fields.
A downloadable font changes how ordinary letters are drawn inside software that loads the file. Use a properly licensed font when a logo, print design, or tattoo stencil needs exact letter shapes. Use this generator when you need portable copy-and-paste text.
Regular, bold, numbers, and decorations
Regular Fraktur changes A–Z and a–z while leaving digits plain because Unicode has no separate Fraktur digit set. Bold Fraktur uses bold mathematical digits beside the bold Fraktur letters so Neko 123 has a consistent weight; those digits are mathematical bold characters, not a historical blackletter numeral alphabet.
Decorated results reuse the same two letter mappings and add crosses, diamonds, brackets, dividers, or stars. They are frames around the text, not additional Old English alphabets. Short names and single words usually stay easier to read than long sentences.
Tattoo, name, sign, and profile use
For a tattoo idea, treat the generated result as a wording preview and ask the artist to redraw and verify the final letterforms, spacing, and meaning. Unicode text is not a print-ready stencil. For signs or logos, use a licensed font or custom lettering when consistent shapes matter.
For bios, display names, captions, and game profiles, paste a short test first. A service may reject styled characters, count them differently, or replace them with its own fallback font. Keep account handles and links in plain text so people can search and type them reliably.
Compatibility and accessibility
Fraktur characters depend on the fonts available in the destination app and operating system. Missing support can show empty boxes or fallback shapes. Punctuation, emoji, accented letters, and scripts without a mapped Fraktur counterpart remain unchanged.
Screen readers may announce mathematical character names or read the letters one by one. Avoid styled text for instructions, contact details, legal names, passwords, or other essential information. A nearby plain-text version improves readability and accessibility.

Frequently asked questions
How do I copy and paste an Old English font?
Type your text, choose a filter if you want to narrow the list, then select Copy beside one result. Wait for the Copied message and paste with Ctrl+V, Command+V, or your phone's Paste command.
Is this a real downloadable Old English font?
No. The results use Unicode Fraktur characters and text-symbol frames. They are copyable text, not TTF or OTF font files for design software.
Why are regular Old English numbers unchanged?
Unicode provides Fraktur letters but no separate Fraktur digits. The regular results keep 0–9 plain. Bold results use mathematical bold digits and label that choice clearly.
Can I use this for a tattoo or logo?
Use it to explore wording, then have the artist or designer redraw and verify the final lettering. Copied Unicode is not a licensed font file or a print-ready stencil.
Why do some Old English letters appear as boxes?
The destination font may not contain the Fraktur characters. Try another app or keep the important wording in plain text; copying again cannot add missing font support.
Does ToolNeko save the text I enter?
No. Generation and copying run in your browser. Typed text and generated results are not sent to ToolNeko analytics; favorites store only fixed style IDs on this device.
