Private by design: Your range, mode and selected cell stay in this page. They are not put in the URL, saved, sent to a calculation server, or included as factors, products or coordinates in analytics.
How to read the multiplication chart
Choose the first factor from the numbered row on the left and the second factor from the numbered column across the top. The cell where that row and column meet is their product. For example, row 7 and column 8 meet at 56, so 7 × 8 = 56.
Multiplication is commutative for these whole numbers: changing the order of the factors does not change the product. That is why 8 × 7 and 7 × 8 both equal 56 and the filled chart mirrors across its diagonal.
Choose 1–12, 1–20, Filled or Blank
The default 1–12 range follows the conventional 12×12 reference format shown by Alberta Education. Choose 1–20 to extend the same pattern through 20 × 20 = 400. Filled mode shows each product. Blank mode keeps the factor headers and interactive cells while removing product answers, which supports printed practice without turning this page into a quiz or scoring tool.
Keyboard and print use
After you Tab into the chart, use Arrow keys to move one cell. Home and End move to the first and last cell in the current row. Control plus Home and End move to the 1 × 1 and final corners. Enter or Space selects a cell and shows its row, column and equation. The movement follows the W3C grid keyboard pattern while the chart retains native table structure and headers.
Print chart creates a current-state US Letter landscape sheet for the chosen range and mode. Browser and printer margins can vary, so review the print preview before printing. This page does not create or download a PDF, image, worksheet pack, or saved chart.
Scope and privacy
This reference covers positive whole-number factors from 1 through 12 or 20. It does not begin at zero, accept arbitrary ranges, collect answers, grade quizzes, run games, save progress, create accounts, or replace a matrix multiplication calculator. Your current range, mode and selected cell remain in memory only and are retired by Clear, navigation away, or a restored browser-history page.
Frequently asked questions
What is a multiplication chart?
A multiplication chart places one factor across the top and another down the left. Their intersection shows the product. This page starts with factors 1 through 12 and can extend through 20.
Can I make the multiplication chart blank?
Yes. Choose Blank to keep the row and column factors while removing every product answer from the chart, announcements and print sheet.
How do I use the chart with a keyboard?
Tab to the chart, move with the arrow keys, use Home and End within a row, or Control plus Home and End for the first and last corners. Press Enter or Space to select a cell.
Does the chart save my selections?
No. The range, mode and selected cell remain in memory only for the current page. Reloading starts again at the filled 1–12 chart.
