Minutes to hours formula
hours = minutes ÷ 60. Keep the decimal when a form expects decimal hours; use the hours-and-minutes result for everyday reading. To reverse the calculation, multiply decimal hours by 60. For example, 2.25 hours multiplied by 60 is 135 minutes, which reads as 2 hours 15 minutes.

Decimal hours and time of day are different
1.5 hours means 1 hour 30 minutes. It does not mean 1:50. This calculator handles elapsed duration only, not clock times, dates, time zones, or payroll policy. When a timesheet applies fixed rounding increments, calculate the raw duration here and apply that separate policy afterward.

How do I convert minutes to hours?
Divide minutes by 60. For example, 90 minutes divided by 60 is 1.5 hours, or 1 hour 30 minutes.
